Just a quick hello to my "fans"
Here is what is going on in my world:

1. Just finished my second hosting of a fantastic writer's Blog Tour With B.C. Young where I did an interview and tried to give away a free copy of his book.  If you wish to participate in that Scavenger Hunt I will continue with it until the end of the month!
2. I will be hosting the Humpday Challenge this week (September 21, 2011)!  So much fun
3. A sneak peak announcement that will be official on Wednesday but for those of you who follow my blog you will find out about it now.  The following is the official announcement for 3 For Thursday an ALL NEW flash fiction challenge that I am hosting!  I'm Sofa King excited!

#TuesdayTales - Every Tuesday at Glitter Word 100 Words open until 9pm est

#5MinuteFiction - Every Tuesday at Leah Petersen's Write Me from 1:30 - 1:45 est five minute writing sprint

#HumpDayChallenge - Every Wednesday at Tracey Hansen's Will Write For Food 100 words, From noon to 8pm est

These are awesome, quick and dirty.  They get the creative juices flowing, are a fun way to get to know some fellow writers as well as great ways to get your name out there!

So, what do all of these have in common?  None take place on Thursdays.  I sure wish there was a way for me to kickstart my weekend and do a little flash fiction…

Now, there is!

The idea behind 3 For Thursdays is that it is not just one but three flash fiction contests.  Compete in one or all!

Here is how at least the inaugural running of Manic Monday is going to go:

When/What: Well Thursdays Obviously (all times eastern)

Challenge #1: Word Prompt 11am - 12pm

Challenge #2: Sentence Prompt 12pm - 1pm

Challenge #3: Special Prompt 1pm - 2pm

Weekly Prompt:

Each week there will be three prompts.  One is a word, one is a sentence and one will be something the previous weeks winner picks, whether it be another word, sentence, starting line picture or whatever.

Every Story Must:

Be based around the given prompt.  The first story will be the special prompt, the second must include the sentence and the third must include the prompt word. There are three ways to write as well:
►Enter one unique story for any of the contests◄
►Enter three unique stories◄
►Enter one 300 word story (Each part must be written in the within the time frame given!)◄
♥Please include your twitter handle (or email address), name and a title for your story for voting purposes.  If you are writing one 300 word story you must still submit each part within the time limit and use the prompt.  The story doesn't need a title until the last go-round but must be labellled part I, Part II and Part III.♥

Limits:

Time limit and word count limits are the backbone of flash fiction so here are mine:

Word Count for each story is: 100 words or less.

Time Limit: One Hour

Winning: On Friday morning everyone will be put in the poll and voting will begin and last until noon (est) on the following Monday.  The top five will then go on to a guest judge (or myself) who will choose one of them as the overall winner of which there will be two:
♦Best 100 Word Story - Single Story Achievement
♣Best 300 Word Story - Competed in all three challenges with one story line That announcement will be made at the start of the next weeks contest!
Prizes: Every week the prize will be Kudos from your peers and an onslaught of Tweets, G+ Posts, Facebook notices and Roof-top shouts relaying your awesomeness to the world.  The winner will also get to choose the following weeks special prompt.  Occasionally there may be other prizes which will be announced at that time!
